Medlock Bridge Counseling Center Underaged Drinking / MIP Pre-Trial Diversion Services

If your teenager has received a citation for underage drinking — also known as underage possession of alcohol or minor in possession (MIP) of alcohol — and it is his/her first offense, he/she may be eligible for a pre-trial diversion program, which offers your teen the opportunity to avoid criminal charges and a criminal record.

The City of Johns Creek offers an underage drinking diversion program designed to educate participants about the negative effects of alcohol, and provide life skills that reduce the likelihood of further legal involvement.

To find out if a particular jurisdiction offers an underage drinking diversion program, you’ll want to contact an attorney or the municipality directly.

Medlock Bridge Counseling Center can assist with any evaluations that may be required as part of an underage drinking diversion program in one of the North Fulton cities of Alpharetta, Duluth, Johns Creek or Suwanee. Give us a call at (770) 495-6339 to schedule an appointment.
